Many of you will already have preconceptions about where to find the offers, for all you beginners out there I’m going to show you guys some tricks of the trade. Although this article is primarily for budding guitarists I’m sure even seasoned professional will be able to find a few helpful tips on the best places to find guitars for sale.
My first suggestion is by far the most obvious; the Internet is the place for any musicians wanting to pick up cheap instruments and accessories. These online retailers don’t have many monthly overheads to consider and can therefore offer their products at up to 40% off their recommended retail price. 90% of the time the Internet is the best place to find cheap guitars for sale. Online retailers also carry the most extensive ranges of instruments, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been frustrated with my local music store, and they have had the same selection of instruments in for around 5 years! The Internet has opened up guitar playing to a far wider audience, no longer do left handed players have to struggle with guitars meant for right handed people and now you can practically get any instrument in existence shipped right to your house regardless of where you live. The Internet is far and away the best place to find the most extensive range of bass guitar for sale.
Despite all the great things the internet has done for musicians it does have one drawback, guitarists have become over reliant on online retailers to make their purchases, this often causes many to miss out on the very best deals around. Despite what people may tell you, the real best places to find brand new electric guitars for sale are franchised music stores when they are having their annual sales, often you can pickup real bargain instruments for a mere fraction of the price. Several years ago I took advantage of two 50% discounts running simultaneously; the end result was purchasing a brand new electric guitar for a mere 25% of its recommended retail price!

If you’re a beginner and not really confident about testing out an instrument in front of people, it always helps to bring a friend along who has some guitar playing experience so he can have a go on it for you.
